Hi and welcome to the 7th grade!
My name is Miss Tracy Smith, and I will be your English/Language Arts teacher. This is
my 6th year teaching Middle School English. I am passionate about reading and writing,
but most importantly, I am dedicated to the success of my students. A bit about myself -
I am the proud mommy of the most adorable puppy ever. (Check out her pictures in my
classroom.) I have a Master’s degree in Counseling from St. Edwards. I enjoy lazy
summer afternoons in the sun and water, and I am a scuba diver. (You can ask me about
the barracuda.)
I am excited to have each of you in my class. I'm looking forward to all the great

- A study of the history of the United States from the early colonial period through Reconstruction. Historical content focuses on the political, economic, and social events and issues related to the colonial and revolutionary eras, the creation and ratification of the U.S. Constitution, challenges of the Republic, westward expansion, sectionalism, Civil War, and Reconstruction.
